THE PIANO STUDIO OF CHERYL HALL

My goal in teaching is to introduce the world of music through a positive, loving, and fun first experience. I want my students to enjoy making music for themselves and to share their excitement with family and friends.

We explore a wide range of music experiences together, including:

• An annual “hands-on workshop” with world-class musicians from the Los Angeles Music Center featuring an introduction to all art forms, including theatre, storytelling, and the visual arts


• A classical approach to music with the opportunity to learn some favorite jazz, pop, and television music


• A focus on the holiday season, with many favorites learned, culminating in a December performance


• A participation in our year-end recital at The Colburn School. The performance is professionally recorded and photographed, with each student receiving their own DVD, photo and trophy


• Summer instruction with “music camp”—extended sessions to include learning games, puzzles, and competitive activities


• Music and theory learned on the computer in a fun and engaging way!
